mimitan Terms of Use

By downloading or using mimitan (the “App”) you agree to these terms. The App is provided by Zhen Zong.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service. You may not reverse-engineer, redistribute or resell the App, nor bulk-export its content for another product or service.

2. In-app purchases (mimitan Pro)

• Nearly all of the App is free. mimitan Pro unlocks exactly one thing: sentence breakdown (grammar patterns, conjugation derivation, particle usage).
• Pro comes in two options: an annual auto-renewing subscription and a one-time lifetime purchase.
• All payments are processed by Apple and charged to your Apple Account. An annual subscription renews automatically within 24 hours before the end of the current period unless auto-renew is turned off beforehand.
• Manage or cancel a subscription in Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions, not inside the App.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies; we cannot issue refunds ourselves. Prices and availability vary by region and may change; price increases follow Apple's notification rules.
• There is no free trial. The App contains no advertising.

3. Content and attribution

4. Your data

mimitan has no accounts. Your study progress stays on your device and, when the device is signed in to iCloud, syncs across your devices through Apple iCloud. What is collected and how to delete it is described in the Privacy Policy. You can permanently delete it at any time via Me → iCloud Sync → Delete iCloud Data.

5. Disclaimer

The App is a study aid. It is not an official JLPT product and is not affiliated with the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services, the Japan Foundation, or any examination body, and it guarantees no examination outcome. Dictionary definitions, readings and example sentences may contain errors or omissions; rely on authoritative dictionaries and textbooks.

The App is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zhen Zong is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the App. The sync service may be interrupted or changed; do not rely on the App as your only backup.

6. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page will change and continued use means acceptance. You may terminate these terms at any time by deleting the App.
